This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones are used on the Ecoportatil websites, what they are used for, who controls them and how you can accept them, reject them, change your choice or delete them at any time.
It forms part of our Legal Notice and Privacy Policy, which sets out in full how personal data is processed.
1. Who uses these cookies
Data controller: PortatilEco España S.L.U.
Trading name: Ecoportatil
Spanish tax number (CIF): B05484332
Registered office: C/ San Millán nº 27, 29013 Málaga, Spain
Email: informacion@ecoportatil.es
Telephone: 951 20 47 46
This policy applies to the websites operated by Ecoportatil: ecoportatil.es, ecoportatil.eu, ecoportatil.pt, ecoportatil.de, ecoportatil.it and ecoportatil.fr, as well as to the support portal at intranet.ecoportatil.es.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on the device of the person visiting it. Among other things, they make it possible to keep you signed in, hold the contents of your basket, remember your preferences, protect forms, measure how the site is used and display advertising matched to your interests.
Alongside cookies we use similar technologies that serve equivalent purposes: browser local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), pixels, tags and technical identifiers. References to cookies in this policy should be read as covering those technologies as well.
3. Types of cookies
3.1. By who controls them
- First-party cookies: these are set from a domain operated by Ecoportatil.
- Third-party cookies: these are controlled by another organisation (for example, Google or Meta), which handles the information under its own policies.
3.2. By how long they last
- Session cookies: these are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies: these remain for the period set by the organisation responsible for them, or until the user deletes them.
3.3. By what they are used for
- Strictly necessary (technical): these allow you to browse the site, stay signed in, use the basket, place orders, access restricted areas, make payments, protect forms against automated access and remember your cookie choice. They are essential in order to provide the service.
- Preference or personalisation: these remember choices such as language, country or display settings.
- Analytics or measurement: these tell us how many visits the site receives, which pages are viewed, where traffic comes from and how people move around the site, so that we can spot errors and make improvements.
- Advertising: these manage advertising space and measure how campaigns perform.
- Behavioural advertising: these monitor browsing habits in order to build profiles and display personalised adverts.
4. Cookies used on the Ecoportatil websites
The cookies and services we have identified are set out below. The exact names and lifespans are set by each provider and may change; the cookie settings panel always shows the up-to-date list detected on the site.
4.1. Strictly necessary (technical) cookies

These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI) — the Spanish rules applicable to the data controller — because they are strictly necessary in order to provide the service requested by the user.
4.2. Analytics and measurement cookies
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Approximate lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics | Store an identifier that distinguishes one user from another and produce statistics on how the site is used. | 2 years |

4.3. Advertising cookies
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Approximate lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au, ads/ga-audiences |

VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC, yt-remote-* |
YouTube (Google) | Set when an embedded video is played: they remember player preferences and compile viewing statistics. | Session – 179 days |
4.4. Tag management: Google Tag Manager
Ecoportatil uses Google Tag Manager to manage the measurement and advertising tags described in the sections above from a single place. It does not itself set advertising or analytics cookies: it is the tool through which the Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Clarity services are loaded.
4.5. Marketing communications: Brevo
Newsletters and other communications by email are sent using the Brevo platform, which may set its own identifiers (for example, sib_cuid) and use tracking pixels within emails to record whether a message has been opened or whether links in it have been clicked.
4.6. Support portal (Odoo)
When you visit https://intranet.ecoportatil.es/, technical cookies belonging to the Odoo platform may be set, such as session_id or frontend_lang. These are needed to authenticate the user, keep the session open, remember the chosen language and allow support tickets, warranties and returns to be handled.
4.7. Ealyx technical storage
Ecoportatil may use browser local storage to operate the service provided through Ealyx. This is not a tracking cookie: the information stays on the device and is used solely so that the service works properly.
5. Consent
The first time you visit any of the Ecoportatil websites, a banner is displayed that allows you to:
- Accept all cookies.
- Reject all non-essential cookies.
- Set your choice category by category.
Your decision is recorded together with the date and an anonymised IP address, as evidence of the consent given, and is kept for one year. Once that period has passed, or if you delete the cookies from your browser, the banner is shown again.
Neither continuing to browse, nor scrolling down the page, nor closing the banner without making a choice is treated as consent to the setting of non-essential cookies.
Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from browsing the shop, creating an account or placing an order.
Consent signals are also passed on to those providers that support them, through Google's and Microsoft's Consent Mode mechanisms.
6. How to change or withdraw your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and as easily as you gave it, using the “Cookie settings” button that is permanently available on the website. That panel also shows the up-to-date list of cookies and lets you switch each category on or off.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out beforehand.
7. How to block or delete cookies from your browser
Quite apart from the above, anyone can block or delete cookies that have already been set — including third-party cookies — through their browser settings. This is the most comprehensive way of preventing cookies from being set, although it may affect how parts of the site work:
- Google Chrome: Chrome support
- Mozilla Firefox: Firefox support
- Microsoft Edge: Edge support
- Safari: Safari support
- Opera: Opera support
Most browsers also offer a private or incognito mode, which deletes cookies as soon as the window is closed.
8. Providers' own opt-out tools
The main providers offer their own opt-out tools, which apply across any website:
- Google Analytics: opt-out browser add-on
- Google advertising: My Ad Center · privacy policy
- Meta: privacy policy and the ad preferences in your account
- Microsoft Clarity: Microsoft privacy statement
- Behavioural advertising generally: Your Online Choices
9. International transfers
Some of the providers named above (Google, Meta, Microsoft, Cloudflare and Brevo, among others) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where an international transfer takes place, it is made under one of the safeguards permitted by the GDPR: an adequacy decision of the European Commission, the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses or another safeguard provided for in Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR.
You can request further information by writing to informacion@ecoportatil.es.
10. Changes to this policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated whenever the cookies used, the providers, the features of the site or the applicable legislation change. The version in force is always the one published on this page, together with the date on which it was last updated.
If you have any questions about cookies or about data protection, please write to informacion@ecoportatil.es.
