In the Lenovo ThinkPad T490, the possibility of upgrading the RAM depends on the exact configuration of each unit, because Lenovo manufactured this model in two variants: Configuration A (very common): 8 GB soldered + 1 SODIMM slot for expansion. Upgradeable up to 40 GB (8 soldered + 32 GB in the slot). Configuration B (less common): All RAM soldered. Not upgradeable. That is why on our website it sometimes says “depends on the configuration”. In the specific case of the unit you are looking at right now (T490 i7 8565U, 16GB, 512GB SSD, FHD, A+), it does indeed have an additional slot, since this specific configuration is one of those that include 8 GB soldered + 8 GB in SODIMM, allowing for expansion. Hello. I am interested in the Lenovo ThinkPad T490 i5-8365U, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, FHD and Grade A+. Before placing the order, I would like to confirm only these points about the specific unit I would receive: 1. Could you tell me the current battery health/capacity of this specific unit? If possible, I would like to know the design capacity and the current maximum charge capacity (Wh or health percentage). 2. Is the battery original or has it been replaced? If it has been replaced, is it new? 3. Does this specific unit have the 16 GB configuration made up of 8 GB soldered + 8 GB in the SO-DIMM slot? 4. Does the SO-DIMM slot work correctly, and could I replace the 8 GB module with a 16/32 GB one in the future? 5. I have seen that the original keyboard is foreign and that Spanish reprinting costs €19.95.
